Man United boss Louis Van Gaal has come under heavy fire recently after a string of disappointing displays by the Red Devils, who are yet to win a game in 8 outings in all competitions for the first time since 1990.
The 20-time English Premier League champions, who were not so long ago in the mix for the league crown, have now dropped to sixth (behind Spurs and Crystal Palace) thanks to Monday’s 0-0 draw with Chelsea.
And though Man United’s performance against the Blues won the support of the home crowd, it did little to ease the pressure of their 64-year-old boss.
However, Van Gaal remains defiant and positive about his future at Old Trafford, insisting that there is nothing pushing him to vacate the managerial seat.
"When the players give such a performance with a lot of pressure, there's no reason to resign," said the former Netherlands boss.
"The players are willing to fight for every metre, the manager is willing to fight, the members of staff are willing to fight and the board has every confidence in the staff and the manager.”

Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is rumored to be in line to replace Van Gaal should Man United boss be sacked, and though the Dutchman insists he will not resign, he admits that he is indeed in threat of being fired.
"In this crazy football world, it can happen every day and also with me," Louis added. "When it happens to Jose Mourinho, then it can happen with me."
