One thing, though, may prevent the Gunners from clinching the league crown, claims the goalkeeper.

Petr Cech has tipped Arsenal to go all the way and win the English Premier League title for the first time since 2004, claiming that success is possible should they maintain their current form.

The north London giants have long looked like a side worthy of challenging for the league crown since the Czech shot-stopper joined their ranks, but a series of injuries to key players looked to stop them on their tracks.

The likes of Alexis Sanchez, Santi Cazorla, and Francis Coquelin joined long-term absentees Jack Wilshere and Danny Welbeck, leaving Le Prof short of options, yet the FA Cup holders have managed to cope so far.

Arsenal booked their spot in the Champions League round of 16, and have sparked confidence among their supporters after Monday’s 2-1 win over Man City, raising hopes of finally seeing their 11-year wait for the league title end.

The former Chelsea custodian is confident his side can go all the way, but remains wary of the threat another injury blow poses to their title hopes.

"The squad is very strong and once we have everybody available, the manager can use every player the way he likes. That will be to our advantage and we'll be able to go all the way," the 33-year-old said.

"We've been through the season with plenty of problems.

"Everything isn't going as smoothly as we would like it to. We can't avoid injuries - sometimes you have more, sometimes you have less - but we showed that even with the unlucky injuries at the moment that we manage to win games.

"I believe we will benefit from players coming back into the team, once they are fit.

"The season is long and anything can happen. But if we stay where we are until March or April, then we have the chance to win the league."

Wenger's boys sit in second in the standings, two points behind leaders Leicester City, four points ahead of third-placed Manchester City, ahead of their Boxing Day trip to Southampton.
