Diego Costa and Jackson Martinez would be involved in a swap this winter, after showing poor form with their respective teams this season.

Two strikers not enjoying the best of forms could be involved in a two-way swap, as Chelsea are ready to part ways with Diego Costa and Atletico Madrid are willing to let Jackson Martinez play elsewhere, following a disappointing start of the season.

Sources indicate that Costa, facing harsh criticism from Chelsea fans, desperately wants to move back to Spain, and he would love to return to his former team, Atletico Madrid. Costa was subbed off the pitch last Saturday against Sunderland, as the team's supporters blamed him for Jose Mourinho's sacking last Thursday.

Costa's second season with the Blues has been rather disappointing.

On the other hand, Atletico Madrid would make way for Costa by letting Jackson Martinez try his luck in the EPL. The Colombian international, who was one of the most in-form strikers last season with Porto, has struggled to find his goal scoring shoes with Los Colchoneros, and coach Diego Simeone has relegated him in favour of Fernando Torres and Antoine Griezmann.

If Martínez ends up joining Chelsea, he would fight for the starting spot with fellow Colombian Radamel Falcao, who flopped last year with Manchester United and is currently out of action due to a injury.

Martinez has only shown shades of his class at Vicente Calderón Stadium.
