Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud scored a classic own goal in their Premier League match against Sunderland at the Emirates Stadium.

Joel Campbell had put the hosts ahead in the 33rd minute after receiving a clean assist from Mesut Ozil. However, Sunderland won a free kick at the edge of the box. Giroud mistakenly kicked the ball into his own net in an attempt to it from the packed defence. The own goal took the Gunners level with Sunderland at halftime.
