On late Friday night/early Saturday morning, South America’s two biggest nations Brazil and Argentina locked horns in the World Cup 2018 qualifiers.
La Albiceleste hosted the Selecao, with both sides losing their opening games 2-0, as Gerardo Martino’s crew went in search for their first three points on the road to Russia.
However, with Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, and Carlos Tevez all missing, the two-time World Cup winners remain without a win, drawing the game against Dunga’s crew 1-1.
Ezequiel Lavezzi gave the home side a first-half lead, finding the back of the net after 34 minutes of play, before Lucas Lima tied the game in the 54th minute, as both sides earned a point.
The draw leaves Argentina in 9th, 2 points above last-placed Venezuela, whilst Brazil moved into fourth, behind Ecuador, Chile, and Uruguay.
The biggest talking point after the game, though, surrounded star center-back David Luiz, who after the final whistle, was trending on Twitter.
The center-back was sent of during the final stages of the game after picking up two yellow cards in the span of two minutes, the second being for a two-footed challenge, resulting in his first ever red card in his career.
Fans were not to pleased by Luiz's actions, as many called for Dunga to axe him. Check out some of the best tweets.

The only thing holding David Luiz back from being one of the best defenders in the world is the fact that he doesn't use his brain sometimes

That red card was uncalled for though. Well both yellows were. David Luiz was the best defender today in my opinion. He messed up ONCE.

The Brazilian ace's name was one of many trending topics on Saturday morning; however, some on Twitter mistook it and worried over the center-back's safety.
With the defender a player for French side PSG, a team based in the very same city which witnessed the death of around 128 people in terrorist attacks in six sites, many feared the worst for former Chelsea man.
When I saw David Luiz trending on Twitter, I feared the worst. He plays for PSG

Fortunately, the 28-year-old was safe almost halfway across the world.
Another player who was feared to be hurt in the wake of the attack was Crystal Palace’s Martin Kelly, who was at a restaurant only a few minutes away from one of the targeted sites.
However, the Eagles confirmed via Twitter that the former Liverpool is safe and unharmed.
We have been in contact with @MartinKelly1990 tonight and can confirm he is safe and well.
