Man United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has put his controversial mouth in the Rafa vs Mourinho debate concerning the coaching job at Inter Milan. Fergie has tipped Mou to remain the ‘Special One’…
During his time in England, former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez never managed to reach Sir Alex Ferguson’s status as a legendary Manchester United coach. Now as the ‘Old Scot’ compared his glorious touch to Jose Mourinho’s, he also revealed his doubts over Rafa’s ability to equal or surpass Jose Mourinho as Inter Milan coach.

Talking to Italian magazine La Gazzetta dello Sport, Alex Ferguson spoke of his ex-rival and current Real Madrid boss. He was quoted as saying:

“It’s tough to replace someone who has won as much as Mourinho. One day, whoever succeeds me at Manchester United will have the same handicap.”

So far, Rafael Benitez has received everything since taking charge of Internazionale: early praises, early criticism, and obviously questions from doubters. The former Merseyside Reds coach can be proud of his Super Coppa Italia triumph whereas he might still be lamenting his European Super Cup fiasco.

However, life continues for Inter Milan who are undefeated and on top of the Italian Serie A standings. In Spain, the case is the same for Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho. His team are on top of La Liga table above Valencia and Barcelona.

Meanwhile, Sir Alex Ferguson still has to work things out in England as Chelsea presently look favorite to win the English Premier League title once again. Unlike Inter Milan and Real Madrid are in their respective league, the Red Devils are third in the EPL chart with four points separating them from the top.
