The former Barcelona boss has delayed contract talks until January of 2016, sparking rumors about a possible departure to join a Premier League team.

Ever since he left Barcelona, Pep Guardiola's future has always been subject to rumors. Whether he was a candidate to take Manchester United's coaching job, or if he decided to step up as Vicente Del Bosque's successor with Spain, the Catalunyan manager has been placed with almost every top team in the world. And even if this time there's no clear destination, the coach's inner circle revealed he will most likely continue his career in the Premier League next season.

Sources indicate Guardiola would be "keen" on joining the English top flight, and if he did, he would love to coach a team from London. While Arsenal's coach Arsene Wenger's future with the Gunners is almost a sure bet, Chelsea's Jose Mourinho has faced severe pressure this year, following a complicated start of the season.

Despite Pep's wishes of coaching in England's capital, his future has been related with Manchester City for months. Coach Manuel Pellegrini is not a fan-favorite, and some of the team's execs, including Guardiola's pal Txiki Begiristain, see Pep as the top candidate to lead the Citizens to European glory. Pellegrini's contract ends with the season, and his future could depend on what the team accomplishes during the ongoing tournament.

While Pep's future with Bayern remains unclear, sources have indicated the Bavarians have already agreed terms with coach Carlo Ancelotti to step up as their manager next year, if Guardiola refuses to extend his contract with them. It's all up to the Spanish coach, but surely he will have a number of options to choose from when the time comes.
