The Italian player recently joined AC Milan on loan from the Reds after one season, in which he managed to score only one Premier League goal.

Just after his loan move from Liverpool was confirmed, Mario Balotelli spoke his truth about the disappointing season he lived with Liverpool. The Italian striker revealed in an interview what where the key aspects of a not so satisfying season, blaming his former coach for what he could not do on the pitch.

According to Balotelli, Rodgers should have changed his tactics to benefit him, rather than looking for the best way to get the most out of every player.

"I must accept my faults but the formation chosen by Rodgers was not suited to my characteristics. Over the last year there was never a problem with my private life, I may have put pictures from restaurants on Instagram but that does not mean I did not train, even though I was not playing," the striker said.

Balotelli walks off the pitch after being subbed by Rodgers. The player was everything but happy with this decision.

The controversial player denied any problems during his time with the Reds, despite being known to be a bit complicated to handle.

"The professional Mario didn't just land here in Milan, even at Liverpool my behaviour and lifestyle were normal. I never complained, I accepted the decisions of the manager and I always behaved like a professional," he added.

Balotelli, who hasn't played a competitive match since March, will be joining the Rossoneri with a number of clauses in his contract, which include an "anti-scandal" clause that forbids him of creating any controversy away from the pitch. Furthermore, the team hired a personal bodyguard to become Balotelli's shadow during his stint with the Italian side.
