Hoffenheim has not been able to beat Bayern in their last 14 games. Pep Guardiola's team won 2-0 the last time they met last season.

Bayern Munich made a strong statement in their first game of the season proving that they are ready to fight for another title and continue their dominance in the Bundesliga with a 5-0 win over Hamburg. Now, Hoffenheim is next in line and on paper this seems to be an easy game for Pep Guardiola's team.

In the last 14 games between Bayern and Hoffenheim, it's been the Bavarian team the one to pick up most of the wins with ten and only four draws sporadically in between. With the confidence that beating Hamburg in week one could have given Bayern Munich, it would be reasonable to think that the streak could continue to grow.

Thomas Muller scored two goals that day and it was Medhi Benathia, Robert Lewandowski and Douglas Costa who completed the handful of goals for Bayern Munich. In the last two games against Hoffenheim, they have scored a total of six goals with 2-0 and 4-0 scorelines in favor of Munich.

David Alaba is fully recovered from the injury that sidelined him at the end of last season. Arturo Vidal is getting used to his new team after he became a star with Juventus and was vital in helping the team reach the Champions League final. Combining the talent of both players in Bayern's midfield could be deadly for the opposition. Alaba's speed and Vidal's strength are two characteristics that could really help Bayern this season.

Hoffenheim has been suffering without Roberto Firmino and they will most likely miss having him around for this one. The best midfielder that Hoffenheim had last season is now with Liverpool. The team will try to recover after losing in the opening game 2-1 against Bayer Leverkusen.

Their biggest advantage for this game is playing at home. Most of their chances to defeat the three-time consecutive champions of the Bundesliga lie on Kevin Volland's feet. The 23-year-old player is the best-attacking weapon for Hoff but his task won't be easy against some of the best defenders in the league.
