After 20 minutes of playing at Anfield Road, Christian Benteke silenced his haters in order to win it for Liverpool. The Belgian striker scored the game's only goal against Bournemouth, displaying quite satisfying skills with the Reds today.
Benteke's game-winner came after Jordan Henderson crossed the ball into the recently promoted side's box, with the Belgian netting the ball with an aerial right-footed strike. Benteke had a few more chances to bag another goal, but goalkeeper Artur Boruc denied him of celebrating one more time. In fact, he came close during the second half, but his close-range shot was denied by the former Celtic shot-stopper as time expired.
Fans and experts are starting to get excited about Benteke's skills and how he can make them count for the Reds. Here are the best tweets praising the Belgian's performance today.
Every #LFC who slagged off the Benteke signing should hang their heads in shame tonight.

Contrary to the thoughts of some, I think Benteke will score a lot of goals for Liverpool and prove to be an excellent signing.

Benteke wins a lot in the air, and has looked very good on occasion. Still a lot more quality to come from him
