The Caribbea team won their Gold Cup group for the first time in the tournament's history, after El Tri blew a two-goal lead in 10 minutes.

Mexico and Trinidad & Tobago gave fans perhaps the best game so far in the 2015 Gold Cup. Mexico went ahead 2-0, but the Caribbean side rallied back thanks to a brace by Keron Cummings and one more goal by Kenwyne Jones. Andres Guardado equalized before stoppage time, while an own goal by Cardiff's Jones gave Mexico the lead. Finally, Yohance Marshall headed a corner kick into Guillermo Ochoa's net to give the Trinitarians a much deserved draw.

This game was a bad deal for El Tri, both historically and in the current tournament. Mexico drew two consecutive games in a Gold Cup for the first time, and this also marks the first time the team in green concedes more than three goals. For Trinidad & Tobago, this is the fourth game that ends with a draw against El Tri, with three wins and twelve losses. Mexico will now face Costa Rica in the Quarter-finals, while the Caribbean team will play against Panamá.
