He is expected to report to training with the Red Devils this upcoming Monday. His house was already on the market in June.

While Real Madrid or any other team interested in David de Gea make up their mind about the Spanish goalkeeper, he has extended the contract of his home for at least one more month. De Gea was already making plans to move to Madrid by putting his home on the market since June.

Now, with negotiations between Los Merengues and the red Devils taking longer than expected, he has decided to stay in Manchester. De Gea is expected to report to training with the Red Devils next Monday (July 6). The 24-year-old goalkeeper was definitely not planning on having to do so before the summer break began.

De Gea spent part of his summer playing for Spain in the Euro Qualifiers

While Real Madrid will head to Australia for their pre-season games, Manchester United will soon by flying to the United States where they will play four games in preparation for the 2015-2016 season. The question is, which flight will De Gea take.

In case the goalkeeper has to stay with Manchester United one more season, Madrid would be able to get him for free as his contract will have expired then. Right now, Los Merengues are being expected to pay £35m in order to get him to Madrid. That would be a record-setting deal for a goalkeeper. Gianluigi Buffon's transfer from Parma to Juventus in 2001 was worth £32.6, which is the current record.

Manchester seems to be standing strong in their quest to get as much as they can for one of the key elements in their 2014-2105 season success. He was one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League. The team will now be back playing in European competitions.
