The Man United target was handed a golden opportunity to tie the game for the Selecao, but shockingly failed to find the net. Watch!

Manchester United might want to rethink about signing Hoffenheim’s Roberto Firmino after seeing him commit this horrendous miss.

Currently with his national side in the 2015 Copa America in Chile, the Brazilian ace was named as a starter for his team in their heavyweight clash with Colombia.

However, despite the number of talents at Dunga’s expense, it was Los Cafeteros who took the lead, breaking the deadlock courtesy of a Jeison Murillo goal in the 36th minute.

During the 1st 45 minutes, Brazil were unable to mount any potential goal threat on David Ospina's net, though the Arsenal shot-stopper had to pull off an on-the-line stop. However, in the 57th minute of the game a blunder from the custodian gave the Selecao a golden opportunity to equalize.

Ospina, in an attempt to clear the ball, lost possession inside his penalty box, before the ball was played right into the patch of Roberto Firmino. If only the 23-year-old converted the beautiful chance, though.

Instead, the Manchester United target missed an open goal, blasting the ball just above the top post, much to the shock of his team-mates and everyone else watching the game. Watch the miss in the VINE below.

Twitter was not kind to Firmino after that, with many humorously calling for the Red Devils to reconsider signing the Brazilian. Check out the best tweets.

Brazil eventually went on to lose the game. They will now have to face leaders Venezuela in their last Group C match, and will be without captain and star attacker Neymar, who was sent of in Wednesday's game.
