The Italian manager had claimed that he would like to take a year off from coaching. He has been fond of the Reds since 1984 when he faced them as a Roma player.

Carlo Ancelotti may have to dream about having a year off as there are reports that Liverpool want him as their next manager. The English club may be the only team that makes the 55-year-old coach change his mind.

Ancelotti was sacked earlier this week by Florentino Perez from Real Madrid. In two years he won 89 games and lost 16 in charge of Los Merengues. His biggest accomplishment was guiding Real to their tenth UCL title. They also won the Spanish Cup, the Club World Cup and the Intercontinental Cup with Ancelotti as the coach.

Carletto is not afraid to show his love for Liverpool

Among their rivals in the group stage of the recent Champions League season was Liverpool. The team coached by Brendan Rodgers has held a special place in the memory of Ancelotti since 1984 when he faced them playing for Roma in the European Cup Final.

"It’s always been a club that excites me. The “You’ll Never Walk Alone” they sing is incredible. Nobody sings an anthem like Liverpool fans," Ancelotti said ahead of a match between Madrid and Liverpool.

Fans want Carlo to replace Brendan Rodgers

West Ham is another team that has established contact with Ancelotti. There are some other Italian teams wit their eyes set on Carletto. At the end of the day Liverpool is the only team that could stop him from leaving on vacation for a whole year. YNWA is something that Ancelotti can't have enough of.

"There were 45,000 Liverpool fans in the ground singing “You’ll Never Walk Alone” for 10 minutes. It was incredible and for an Italian it was a shock," Ancelotti said. "I’m so excited… sometimes I look for it on the internet and put it on for my friends. It’s something really unique, seriously."
