Bulgaria occupy the very last seat in Group G; that’s following their heavy 4-0 defeat away to England last Friday. Hat-trick hero Jermain Defoe exposed their weaknesses and Montenegro – who stunned Wales 1-0 – are out to repeat England’s feat over Bulgaria.
Montenegro manager, Zlatko Kranjcar, revealed his team’s ambitions ahead of Tuesday’s Euro 2012 qualifying match as he said:
“We go to Sofia with the aim of avoiding defeat. I will be content with a draw. Still, we will do everything possible to win against Bulgaria. That’s something I know how to do, as I defeated them during my time as coach of Croatia during the 2006 World Cup qualifiers.
“They know all this, they know who I am. But I’m not the one they should be afraid of. They must put their focus on Mirko Vucinic, Simon Vukcevic, and my players who are capable of clinching three points.”
England lead the way in Group G but Bulgaria are last with a negative goal difference. Montenegro are placed second thanks to their modest 1-0 win over Wales on match-day one of the Euro 2012 qualifiers.
