Les Parisiens owner refused to talk about the Uruguayan's transfer to Manchester United, denying all rumors surrounding the striker's future.

Paris Saint-Germain's owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi denied striker Edinson Cavani could be transferred away from his side this summer. The Uruguayan has been linked with a move to some of Europe's top clubs this season, following rumors that stated he was not happy with the role handed to him by PSG's coach Laurent Blanc. Today, in an interview with a French newspaper, Al-Khelaifi denied any thought on selling the fomer Napoli player, who's £50 million transfer from Napoli ranks as one of the most expensive in the history of football.

"Edinson Cavani is a player I really like,I can tell you that he is very much with us, and the question of his departure has not arisen. Paris loves him and he loves Paris," PSG's owner stated.

The news represented a serious blow for Manchester United's intention of having Cavani performing at Old Trafford. Big spenders as they are, the Red Devils are rumored to be looking for Robin Van Persie's replacement, who is most-likely living his final moments with Van Gaal's team. Furthermore, Colombian Radamel Falcao will also be leaving the team, after failing to make an impression during his season long loan.

Cavani won the Coupe de la Ligue against Bastia on April 11th, with the Uruguayan scoring a brace.

Cavani, 28, hasn't been able to show his skills with PSG, since he's always been Les Parisiens Number 2 striker, with Laurent Blanc giving Zlatan Ibrahimovic all  the spotlight. With "Ibra" also rumored to be leaving PSG when his contract ends, the current Ligue 1 champions would not want Cavani to go.

The Uruguayan striker came off the bench during the Coupe de la Ligue final against Bastia to score a brace, giving PSG their first title this season.
