A hamstring injury has Costa sidelined for Spain’s upcoming games against Ukraine and Netherlands. The Chelsea striker will return to London to undergo treatment at his club during the international break.
"Diego Costa, left the premises of the Spanish Football Federation this morning after undergoing several tests with the medical services of the RFEF," was what an official statement read.
Costa was initially substituted in the last 15 minutes of Chelsea’s game against Hull City. He scored his 20th EPL goal that gave Chelsea a 2-0 advantage. Then he had to slowly make his way out of the field and that was already something that concerned the staff not only of Chelsea, but of Spain as well.

"He has this problem. He tried to play the Champions League final for Atletico (Madrid, last season) and was injured again and again and again. He has this fragility.” Jose Mourinho said after the game.
The Special One is aware of Costa’s hamstring problems. He recalls that the Spaniard works hard throughout the week to compensate his weakness.

Now Vicente del Bosque will have to host Ukraine on Friday in a Euro Qualifier game for group C without one of his best strikers. Then La Furia will visit Netherlands in a friendly next Tuesday.
