Le Professeur has been involved in the UCL for 17-straight years. Monaco's manager felt disrespected by Wenger after first game

It seems like Arsene Wenger might have learned something from failing his failures at the Champions League. The French manager, whose team got knocked out of the competition by Monaco, believes they have better chances of succeeding at the Europa League.

For a fifth year in a row, Arsenal failed to advance to the quarterfinals of Europes finest clubs' competition. Monaco seemed to be their easiest target after having to play against Bayern Munich, AC Milan and Barcelona in past years.

A 3-1 loss at home on the first leg made things quite impossible for The Gunners on the road. Despite a 2-0 win at the Stade Louis II, they failed to move on in the tournament by away goals.

Mesut Ozil was almost speechless after the game

"Overall we paid for fact that we didn't produce game we wanted in the first leg. They surprised us in the first leg because subconsciously we were too sure of ourselves," Wenger said.

Monaco felt they were disrespected by the whole Arsenal staff. After their victory in London, Wenger refused to shake Leonardo Jardim's hand. Then, even though they lost in the second leg, he did not shake Wenger's hand after the final whistle.

Aaron Ramsey felt The Gunners did everything they could

"Right now, we’re celebrating and we think Arsenal did not show enough respect during the first leg," Jardim said.

Arsenal is currently in third spot in the Premier League and with that they would clinch a spot in the next Champions League season. Following closely behind are Manchester United and Liverpool. All within three points of one another.

One of Arsenal's biggest fans wants the team to aim high

"Perhaps it would be better not to go out like this and make the Europa League, we would be more likely to win," Le Professeur said.
