According to this certificate, the Danish striker is a Lord in the village of Glencoe.

We have known it for ages, but only now is it official; Nicklas Bendtner is a Lord!

The Danish attacker, who has enjoyed not-so-great spells with Arsenal, Sunderland, and Juventus, earned his title for, to be sarcastic, being the lethal and clinical striker that he is.

And now, in a hilarious move by Danish magazine SE Og HØR, 30cm square metre of land in the village of Glencoe, Scotland has been bought and registered under the Wolfsburg ace's name, thus meaning the 27-year-old is a Lord.

Lord Bendtner becomes official!

The forward humorously accepted the gesture, as stated by the Dane's PR agent Elisa Lykke, who said:

“We have seen it, and Nicklas think it’s a fun gimmick.

“We have asked to be sent a receipt and we are pleased that it supports a nature conservation area.”

This, of course, comes after Bendtner, back in January, admitted that he doesn't know why he has earned his nickname, claiming to be confused as to whether it is an insult or a compliment.

The problem with it is that I don't know where it comes from or understand if it is funny," said the Dane.

"Am I being ridiculed? Is it serious?

"I think it is a phenomenon of the youth [on social media]. They think that it sounds good."
