The Argentinian manager revealed on Saturday his agent is already working on a deal to keep him with Los Colchoneros for five years.

Trying to silence those rumors that placed him away from his beloved Atletico, coach Diego Simeone's agent already begun talks with the team's execs to keep him as manager for the next five years. The Argentinian boss revealed his intention is to sign a contract that brings big money to his pocket, but his priority will always be the liberty to choose his team and how to manage it.

"We are evaluating what the team is offering and what we want from them. We will do that with the same enthusiasm as we did the first time, but everything must be in the right place to keep coaching here for a long time," Simeone stated.

Atletico's prospects of keeping the coach are good, since the club recently signed a new Chinese sponsor, fueling the team's economy. Furthermore, if the team gets a Champions League spot for next season, it would be unreasonable to think Simeone would leave the red-and-white outfit. Sources indicate El Cholo wants full control of the team's signings, while the team's project will be key for him to continue coaching in Spain's capital.

His players can't imagine the team without him

Recently signed shot-stopper Miguel Angel Moyá shared his thoughts about Simeone's term as coach. Moyá stated "it would be hard to imagine this team without him. I'm not aware of any negotiations on that matter, but the right thing for the team to do is re-signing him. He is a wonderful coach and he is the heart of this team," the goalie stated. Miranda, one of the team's veterans also revealed he would be delighted to have Simeone with the team for as long as possible.

"It would be marvelous to have him here for the next ten years. We are very happy with him, he is totally fit for this team. You just couldn't imagine someone else coaching this team," the defender revealed.
