Despite the recent rumors linking him to Stamford Bridge, the Blues boss claims fans are HIGHLY unlikely to see the Barcelona superstar in a Chelsea jersey.

With the January transfer window just over a week away, rumors of a possible switch to Chelsea for Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has been circulating in the media.

According to reports, Adidas, who both sponsor the Argentine, rumored to be unhappy with life at Camp Nou, and the English Premier League club, are willing to help fund the west London side’s bid for the Argentine if they were to turn their attentions to the Albiceleste captain.

However, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has ruled out any move for the four-time Ballon d’Or winner.

The Portuguese manager, when asked by Clare Balding of BT Sport whether Messi might pack his bags and leave for Stamford Bridge in a mega-money transfer, insisted there is “no chance of that” happening.

Why? According to the former Real Madrid boss, the Blues cannot afford to pay “super amazing numbers” for La Pulga, citing UEFA's Financial Fair Play as the major factor preventing Chelsea from even pondering a move for the 27-year-old La Liga striker.

“No, I have no chance of that," Mourinho revealed.

“Because at this moment there is financial fair play and with the financial fair play we have to follow certain rules, certain numbers and we obviously have no conditions to buy, as you say a 'super amazing player' paid with 'super amazing numbers' that Chelsea at this moment we cannot do.”
