Manchester City kept their pursuit of Jose Mourinho's Chelsea running, when they defeated Leicester City at King Power Stadium. Their 1-0 score was enough for Manuel Pellegrini's men, who had a complicated week but pulled through with great results at Stadio Olimpico, adding to their good fortune their victory this evening.
The highlight of the game was, without a doubt, Frank Lampard's record. The English midfielder scored his 175th goal ever, putting him in fourth place of the English Premier League history. He will surely have a chance to get more goals, since his loan was extended until the end of the season, but meanwhile, he is tied with Arsenal's Thierry Henry,a true goal scoring legend. Lampard is the highest-scoring midfielder in the English Premier League with 46 goals. He is followed closely by his team-mate Yaya Touré. This season, Lampard has scored six times.

Frank Lampard scores for Manchester City. At 36, still pure class. Always in the right position at the right time. #mcfc
