The former Manchester United defender could make a return to England as early as next January

After eight seasons, in which he won five Premier League titles and one Champions League trophy, and served as the team's captain starting from the 2010/2011 season, Nemanja Vidic departed Manchester United this past summer.

The former Serbian international had become a fan favorite during his tenure at Old Trafford, but after last season, the club opted not to renew his contract and the 33-year-old decided to try his hand in a different league after signing with Inter this past summer.

However, his time so far in Serie A has been a disappointment for the veteran defender and the man known as one of the best in the world in his position has endured a torrid time in Italy, with several high-profile and embarrassing blunders that Red Devils fans would not have seen while he was playing in English football's top flight.

Hence, with the Italian press keen on slamming him left and right, it is no surprise then that the country's publication Tuttosport has linked him with a quick exit, as new coach Roberto Mancini is not too keen on the former Manchester United star. The report alludes to an interest in the likes of other younger talent, such as Galatasaray's Semih Kaya.

Moreover, with Manchester United still looking shaky in defense, Louis Van Gaal is reportedly keen on having the former captain return, especially if he could get him from a heavily discounted price.
