The much anticipated clash at San Siro had to be halted after fans began launching flares onto the pitch.

All seemed to be going well after goals from Antonio Candreva and Ivan Perisic until the second half when some of the Croatian fans began hurling flares onto the pitch. The mayhem caused the game to be temporarily suspended as riot police had to get the rowdy supporters under control.
