Tottenham vs Brighton & Hove Albion will be featured in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday the 28th of October at the White Hart Lane.

Tottenham have won just two of their last five matches in all competitions and will be looking for a positive outcome when they go against Brighton & Hove Albion on Wednesday. Spurs hosted Newcastle in their last outing a match they lost by a 2-1 score line.

Adebayor  scored in the first half to give the home side a lead but a quick double fire from Newcastle courtesy of Sammy Ameobi  and Ayoze Perez meant that Alan Pardew's side bagged all three points.
Argentinean tactician Mauricio Pochettino was disappointed by the performance put forth by his players and questioned their mentality.

"After half-time, within five seconds we concede - it's true, a stupid goal," Pochettino told reporters.

"It was a shock because it all changed in this minute. Six or seven seconds earlier, all was happy in the stadium with a good energy and our supporters were happy and believing we were going to get a good result.

"But in this moment I think it was difficult to manage in our head. Our heads [had] gone and we started to take rash decisions on the pitch and it was difficult. At 2-1, it was difficult.

"It's impossible to go to the pitch and not be ready to play. I think [there was] a lack of concentration from us and we need to work on our mentality because it's not tactical or physical, it's concentration and mentality.

"This is our challenge to improve. It's not easy and we need to be more strong and like a team. We need to speak, to create a different situation on the training ground and work. We know how but you need time to work in this area."

Brighton who are managed by Liverpool legend Sami Hyypia have gone six games without a win and would be looking to pull off a major upset in the Capital One Cup. Their winless run includes four 1-1 draws which have come in the last five games and the last time they recorded a victory was over Burton Albion in the third round of the league cup.

Brighton will welcome back midfielder Kazenga Lua Lua back to the squad with the 23 year old having served his suspension but will be without Dale Stephens (ankle) and Andrew Crofts (knee).
Tottenham on the other hand are expected to rotate their squad and fringe players including Michel Vorm and Benjamin Stambouli are expected to feature.
