CSKA Moscow vs Man City will go live in the Champions League this Tuesday as the defending English champions face the winners of the Russian Premier League last season.

Man City have been in ravishing form as far as the Premier League is concerned however their performances in the Champions League have been uninspiring so far. The Citizens suffered defeat in their first match against Bayern and were able to pick just a single point in their subsequent match against Roma.

However the Etihad side will be in a buoyant mood after picking up a big win over Tottenham during the weekend. Argentinean international Sergio Aguero bagged four goals as City ran rampant defeating Spurs by a 4-1 score line. Among Aguero's plaudits was his club teammate Joe Hart who hailed the 26 year old as being a big game player.

"He is one of those players - and I don't think he will be unhappy with me saying it - that some days you look at him in training and he is useless," Hart told the media. "But you know that, when it comes to games, he is going to score because he is that talented, that good a player. He is a big-game player."

"Sergio deserves all the plaudits he gets," he continued. "He has scored four goals and he will be miffed at missing other chances but he kept plugging away when anyone else might have let missing the second penalty put them off. He showed his quality.

"The two penalties he scored were nice but the other two finishes were fantastic - and they were required because [Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo] Lloris played well."

"How good is he? Finishing-wise, he is one of the best. His goals-to-games ratio in the Premier League is the best but he still has a lot of work to do. He is still only young and hopefully, if we keep him fit, he will be pushing on."

"He's a very important character in the dressing room and he does all the important things as well as being a brilliant footballer and that's why we're very lucky to have him."

CSKA like Man City have been struggling in European games having lost both their matches so far but are currently second in the Russian Premier League having thrashed fourth placed Kuban Krasnodar 6-0 in their last encounter.

French duo Samir Nasri and Eliaquim Mangala will not be part of the City squad which travels to Russia whereas Frank Lampard who was taken off on a stretcher during the weekend win over Tottenham will also not play any part during Tuesday's encounter.
