As a result of impressing new boss Louis Van Gaal, the young star is reportedly set to get a huge increase in his weekly pay.

Certainly, everyone enjoys getting something special in their paycheck.

But how often does one see his or her weekly pay double, let alone increase by 25-fold? And even more significant, at the age of 20, when many people are still in university or starting out at their first jobs?

Well, according to reports, young Manchester United defender Tyler Blackett will be a very pleased lad indeed. The 20-year-old, who has began to make some appearances for the Red Devils' senior side, has impressed new coach Louis Van Gaal so much that he will be rewarded for his efforts.

Van Gaal is reportedly pleased with the 20-year-old's progress so far in his appearances for the senior side

Blackett, who started out with the team's youth squad 12 years ago, is currently on a wage packet that sees him earning about £2,000 per week--something that is not too bad as compared to others his age and those not in the football industry.

However, it's a mere drop in the pond compared to the likes of senior team members like Wayne Rooney, who makes about £300,000 per week or new signing Radamel Falcao, who's on a weekly pay packet of around £250,000+.

In any case, as reward for his new position within the first team, the former Oranje boss has apparently approached the board about increasing his pay to within the £50,000 per week range after he signs a new contract.

Fans will certainly hope that naturally his performances on the pitch will correspond with his pay increase as the team hopes to be back in European competition next season.
