Barcelona's player also reminisced his time at La Masia, describing how he got along with Argentinian superstar Lionel Messi.

Spanish defender Gerard Pique has been called up again by Vicente del Bosque to play for his National Team. During an interview, the former Manchester United player dismissed rumors regarding a possible return with the Red Devils, since he feels quite comfortable with Los Blaugranas:

"You never know what's going to happen, but you have to understand I play for the best club in the world. It was my childhood dream to play here and I don't have any desire to leave, I just renewed my contract and I would love to end my playing career with Barcelona. I love this team for its history, our playing style and because of how people think of us representing Catalunya," Pique stated.

Looking back to his youth, Pique spoke about his teammate Lionel Messi. Having shared time together at La Masia, Pique recalled Messi was too quiet, which leaded Gerard to call him "The Mute":

"When he first got here, he kept to himself a little too much. Everything changed when we went to play in Switzerland. Once we got there, he broke the ice with us and became a leader for the team. After that tournament, we ceased to call him "The Mute". It's hard for a kid to adapt to another continent, and he did it just fine end up becoming the best player in the world," Pique added.

Pique is set to earn one more cap with Spain, who just announced Sergio Ramos will not play in this weeks qualifying matches.
