Manchester United will be looking to turn things around when they face newly promoted side QPR at the Old Trafford on Sunday, the 14th of September.

The Red Devils will resume their quest of redemption when they face Queens Park Rangers on Sunday. United remained very active in the transfer window splashing the most amount of cash among all the teams in the Premier League.

Among the arrivals is loan signing Radamel Falcao who will add much needed firepower to the United squad which has seemed very innocuous upfront. In the four matches United have played this season they have managed just two goals and are still looking for their first win of the season.

Man United’s record signing Angel Di Maria who was signed from Real Madrid for 59 million pounds made his debut for the Red Devils last time out against Burnley and despite of a very energetic display the Argentinean failed to inspire his new club to a victory as the match ended in a 0-0 draw.

Life at new club has not been pleasant for Van Gaal so far and to make matters worse United are in the middle of an injury crisis with defender Phil Jones the latest victim. The former Bayern Munich head coach gave an account of all the players who have been ruled out of the fixture on Sunday also throwing light on the targets the club wants to achieve this season.

"[Marouane] Fellaini is more than a month away, Jones maybe three weeks or a month. [Michael] Carrick isn't ready but has run for the first time on grass," he told reporters.

"[Sam] Johnstone has elbow problems, [Chris] Smalling isn't fit enough, [James] Wilson and [Reece] James are not ready yet. [Ashley] Young and [Jesse] Lingard are also injured.”

"We've spoken about targets. A club like Manchester United has to set targets and I think within the top three is logical," he said.

QPR on the other hand have also been very unimpressive upon their Premier League return and after losing their opening three matches including the 1-0 defeat at the hands of Burton Albion in the Capital One Cup, the Hoops finally picked their first win of the season last time out at the expense of Sunderland as Charlie Austin scored the solitary goal of the match.
