Coach Carlo Ancelotti stated the player will be given a specific workout in order to be ready for Madrid's next match against Atletico

Real Madrid will try to make Cristiano Ronaldo heal in 18 days. At today's press conference, Madrid's coach Carlo Ancelotti explained his striker's situation.

"He will not be playing tomorrow. He won't even make the trip to San Sebastian," Ancelotti stated during the press conference.

Ronaldo's health has been an issue for Real Madrid since last season's finale. CR7 suffered an injury to his knee, missing out several games including the Copa del Rey Final match against Barcelona and also Madrid's visit to San Sebastian. This situation reflected on his poor performance during the last World Cup.

"He's fine, but we have decided to let him recover. He'll have a very specific workout for the next three weeks, so he can be in top shape for our next game against Atletico and of course, our first Champions League match of the season," Ancelotti added.

Besides CR7, fellow Portuguese wingman Fabio Coentrao will miss this game.
