With Angel Di Maria soon to come on board, social media went crazy poking fun at the transfer in light of Manchester United's bad start to the season.

Earlier today, Manchester United stumbled again as they were held to a 1-1 draw with Sunderland, meaning that the Red Devils have yet to win a game so far in this season.

The Red Devils had one of their worst seasons in recent times last time around under David Moyes, struggling throughout the course of the 2013-2014 campaign and eventually managing to finish in seventh place--which means that they will not be featuring in any kind of European competition this season.

As a result, they have been attempting to bring in some big faces under new boss Louis Van Gaal, with Real Madrid's Angel Di Maria very close to becoming the club's marquee signing this summer.

Of course social media couldn't help but start buzzing with what the Argentinian star must be thinking after yet another poor display by his future club.
