Previously thought to be valued at £56 million, Manchester United now apparently will have to pay nearly £20 million more to get the star attacker.

After a will-he-move-or-not saga that seemed never to end, Angel Di Maria is finally on his way out of Real Madrid this summer.

The capital club's coach, Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that the Argentinian star had already said his good-byes to his teammates and staff ahead of his impending move to Premier League giants Manchester United.

"Di Maria has not trained with us today (Sunday) and he came in to say goodbye to the players and people at the club," the Italian tactician, who previously managed PSG, Milan, Chelsea, and Juventus stated in a recent press conference.

However, as with any protracted saga, the move now has taken another unexpected twist, with reports in England claiming that Real Madrid, recognizing that Manchester United are really keen on making at least one marquee signing this summer, have now hiked up the price on the versatile attacker.

Initially valued at £56 million, the 2014 Champions League winners are now apparently demanding upwards of £75 million for his services, something that has come as a huge shock to the Red Devils.

Chelsea previously set the Premier League transfer record back in 2011 when they signed Fernando Torres from Liverpool for £50 million, and with a week remaining in the transfer window, it remains to be seen whether the two sides can quickly come to an agreement over the player's selling price.
