FIFA's decision to uphold Barcelona's transfer window ban has forced the Blaugrana to seal a Marco Reus deal before this summer window shuts close

According to the latest transfer rumors, La Liga giants FC Barcelona are preparing an emergency bid for German superstar Marco Reus in an attempt to bring him to Camp Nou, amid FIFA's decision to prohibit the Catalan side from any business in the next two transfer windows.

The Blaugrana, who were handed this punishment back in May only for it to be suspended after submitting an appeal, are preparing to take football's governing body's decision to Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). But after seeing Suarez's bite-ban appeal turned down, Barcelona fear the CAS' decision might not go their way.

Despite stating Marco Reus will stay at the Signal Iduna Park this season, Jurgen Klopp is wary the German star's £20m release clause kicks into affect next season, meaning a bid in that region could see bitter Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich lure him to the Allianz Arena.

Reus has been attracting attention from the English Premier League as well, with Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal all believed to be after the Dortmund star.

Reports coming out of Spain (per Daily Express) thus claim Barcelona have moved the 25-year-old German to the top their wishlist in order to ensure his services before the ban kicks in on January 2015.

After making key additions to their current squad in the form of Luis Suarez, Ivan Rakitic, and Marc-Andre ter Stegen, just to name a few, Luis Enrique will tempt the 2013 Champions League runners-up with an option of loaning Reus back to Dortmund for the upcoming season upon signing the die Mannschaft ace.
