The Blues, after opting to part ways with several of their strikers this summer, have now reportedly turned their attention to the PSG attacker.

Despite publicly stating that he "wishes to stay", PSG striker Edinson Cavani is still being linked with an exit this summer.

The Uruguayan has long been a reported target of Manchester United, but appeared to quash speculation recently that he would move to Old Trafford by affirming his desire to remain with the club that he signed with just a season ago in a big money move from Napoli.

However, despite netting a respectable 20+ goals in all competitions with the Ligue 1 winners, he has reportedly been quite unhappy with life in France due to being played out of position to accomodate Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

As a result, despite seeming to reject a switch to the Red Devils, reports are rife that the 27-year-old is still angling for a move away from the capital club before the transfer window closes.

Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho has already offloaded three strikers this summer--the most recent being Romelu Lukaku in a £28 million deal, as per English reports.

Indeed, according to the Metro and ESPN, Cavani has been priced at £40 million--£15 million less than what Les Parisiens paid for him when getting him from the Partenopei.

Moreover, as per ESPN's report, funds recouped from a Cavani sale could be used towards the acquisition of Angel Di Maria, with the Real Madrid attacker being a top target as the Ligue 1 side hope to further enhance their squad ahead of their upcoming domestic and continental competitions.
