Italian newspapers, notably Corriere dello Sport, claim that the mercurial attacker will definitely not be featuring in a Rossoneri kit for the upcoming season.

Despite vehement denials from the Milan hierachy, notably Adriano Galliani, the rumor mill is still churning with reports that Mario Balotelli has played his last season in a Rossoneri kit. And it has definitely gone into overdrive over the past few days.

As recently as two days ago, there were some outlandish claims from Italy's Tuttosport that Balotelli even telephoned former Diavolo boss Massimiliano Allegri to discuss a transfer (after congratulating him on his new position, which obviously is a lot more credible).

Of course, given the fact that the publication is Turin based with a focus on all things Bianconeri it's not surprising that they would surmise that during the conversation between player and coach that the possibility of a transfer would come up.

Switching from the Rossoneri to the Bianconeri? Balotelli wouldn't be the first one to head to Turin--Andrea Pirlo did the same thing back in 2011

And yet another report, also from Italy as of today makes note of the team's impending US tour with the player being situated already in the country whilst on vacation with his partner. And, according to the same report, Arsenal are still keen, despite having splashed the cash on Alexis Sanchez recently.

There is also the fact that both Balotelli and Arsenal have the same corporate sponsor--Puma--which could possibly help to defray the cost of moving the former Manchester City and Inter player back to England.

However, despite claims of a £15.8 million bid being tabled recently, Galliani again moved to refute the rumors as per Sky Sports, so it remains to be seen whether come end of this summer whether Super Mario will be making a return to the San Siro.

As of today, this time from a non-Italian source, Milan have admitted that they will let him go for €20 million, so whether it's Arsenal or any other team, it looks more and more likely that Balotelli won't be with the 7-time Champions League winners at the start of this season.
