Despite bolstering their squad with the likes of Barcelona's Alexis Sanchez, the former England international believes that it will not be enough to help the Gunners finish in the top four.

Following their disappointment last season, in which at one point they led the Premier League only to see everything come undone during the second half, Arsenal have attempted to amend this by making some big moves in the summer transfer market.

The acquisition of Chilean winger Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona has some Gunners fans feeling more optimistic this time around thanks to the player's proven quality from his stint both in Spain and previously in Italy with Udinese.

And, as a result, there are those who believe that they can put up a serious challenge for the title this season, something that they have been longing for for over a decade since that historic 2003-2004 season.

Yet, not everyone is feeling so confident about their Premier League title ambitions, with retired English striker Michael Owen being especially pessimistic. Indeed, the former Liverpool, Newcastle United, Manchester United, and Stoke City attacker is doubting that they can even secure Champions League football for the 2015-2016 season.

"The signing of Sanchez has made everyone sit up and take note. I really do rate him, he's a top player and it's a big step in the right direction," he opined to talkSPORT.

Yet, despite the big-name signing, the 34-year-old Ballon d'Or winner believes that two of his former teams--one of which that didn't even secure European football this season--will comprise the lucky quartet to be featuring in the Champions league next season.

"[However], in no particular order, my top four for next season would be Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool."
