The Gunners are reportedly interested in bringing the Real Madrid midfielder to London, but his wage demands could represent a serious stumbling block.

If reports are to be believed, Toni Kroos isn't the only die Mannschaft player who's moving to a new club this summer.

Real Madrid's Sami Khedira, also a part of the squad that just won this year's World Cup, has been linked with a departure from the 2014 Champions League winners, with Arsenal reportedly keen on his services.

According to reports, especially from Spain, the Gunners are close to securing his signature, but other reports claim that a huge issue his his massive wage demands.

The 27-year-old apparently wants to earn a massive €250,000 per week, which would vastly outpace the salary earned by top earners such as national team compatriot Mesut Ozil, who is reportedly on a wage package of €160,000 weekly.

It has been a good season at club and national level for Khedira, who only just two months ago was part of Real Madrid's La Decima winning side and now enjoys the same success with the German NT after defeating Argentina this past Sunday to clinch their 4th World Cup title.

Arsenal have been quite active so far in this summer's transfer market, as they have already secured the signature of Barcelona's Alexis Sanchez and are close to acquiring Mathieu Debuchy from Newcastle for approximately £12m.
