After fallout with his own VP, Mario Balotelli is looking elsewhere, and could possibly end up back in the Premier League, with Arsenal.

After the disappointing World Cup campaign, the Italian community, used to always being a protagonist at international events, has focused the criticism on one player in particular: Mario Balotelli.

AC Milan’s striker only found the net once during the World Cup, against a weakened England that left the tournament with 1 single point. Largely anonymous on the field, SuperMario will remember the 2014 World Cup more for personal arguments than anything else.

Former Man City striker, represented joy and pain for his Manchester fans

His agent, Mino Raiola, disappointed by the criticism, released some statements to answer to the comments of Milan’s Vice President Barbara Berlusconi, who described Balotelli as “replaceable.” The agent said:

“Mario is sad, desperate. Only Galliani has defended him while the FIGC (Italian football federation) remains absolutely silent.”

Mario went from hero during the 2012 Euros, to zero in the 2014 World Cup

Then, with regards to the words of the President’s daughter, Raiola stated:

“If for her Mario is replaceable, she should set up a meeting in the club's headquarters and we will find a solution, just as I am used to doing. I remember that Mario had other important offers. He (Balotelli) is at Milan because of his heart - her (Berlusconi), I don't know.”

Now the Gunners have what they needed, an opening. Arsenal, who already showed interest in the 23-year-old talent, will surely close in on the forward in the coming days.

Balotelli arrived during AC Milan's worst period and failed to deliver when most needed
