Mario Balotelli decided to celebrate his girlfriend's birthday by proposing to her, just days ahead of the game against England.

Just days from Italy’s World Cup opener against England, Mario Balotelli decided to propose to Fanny Neguesha on the day of her birthday. The Italian striker immediately shared the positive response of his soon-to-be wife on Instagram. Attached to the pictures, the Italian commented:

"She said yes.. The most important yes in my life. That was the place of my question! I Love you and happy birthday too ! Je t'aime my WIFE ❤"

The day after the engagement, Balo was welcomed by cheering Italian fans at Mangaratiba, Brazil, where Italy is preparing for the upcoming World Cup. Some teammates hugged AC Milan’s striker, congratulating him on getting engaged.

Mrs. Balotelli shared her emotions, by posting some heartfelt comments on Instagram. Neguesha wrote:

“Tonight, I said the most important yes of my life. That was the best present for my birthday! I love you first and unique husband.”

Furthermore, teammate Claudio Marchisio was asked about Balo’s recent engagement. Juventus’ midfielder warned:

“He must have gone through a lot of emotions last night, [b]ut now we all need to focus on the World Cup.”
