Things are getting hot for 2014 FIFA World Cup hosts Brazil. They are set to play their last pre-World Cup warm-up on June 6th against European side Serbia.

The big kick-off happens on Thursday, June 12, 2014. Six days before their game against Croatia, the five-time world champions will try to increase the momentum by following up on the Panama win with another great result, this time against the Serbians.

Barcelona attacker Neymar was the king of the show on Tuesday. He took full advantage of Panama’s weak defenders to exhibit his tricks on the ball. The ex-Santos star started the party with an incredible free-kick goal. He later grabbed a spectacular back-heel assist as Hulk added his name on the score sheet early in the second half. Dani Alves and Willian were part of the scorers as well.

This resounding 4-0 win proved that the Brazilians are as explosive as they were on the road to Confederations Cup glory last summer. However, the World Cup will present a tougher challenge and coach Luiz Felipe Scolari remains hungry for more.

“If we do not allow our opponents easy counterattacks, we have a chance to win games by even more. We improved, but we still have a long way to go,” the former Portugal manager told the press after seeing his players cruise to an entertaining victory over Panama.

Friday’s international friendly match will take place in Sao Paulo. Opponents Serbia will provide the perfect test Brazil need ahead of next Thursday’s opening World Cup fixture against Croatia.
