Colombia vs Costa Rica Match Preview
Costa Rica’s moment of redemption will begin on July 2. The 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup rejects will be up against Colombia in Jujuy.

Ricardo La Volpe has a point to prove to the local media.
An easy start for Ricardo La Volpe’s side? Certainly not. Colombia possess attacking players like Hugo Rodallega and Radamel Falcao who have been tasked to put their talent on show throughout the 2011 Copa America.
However, a win for Costa Rica will be accepted with a lot of emotion following the tragic death of Dennis Marshall. The defender, who died in a car crash last week, will be remembered for long as coach Ricardo La Volpe affirmed according to MLSsoccer.com:
“It’s a tough blow. He was a young guy with a big future. I send my most heartfelt condolences to his family”
Dennis Marshall, who scored against Honduras in the quarter-finals of the 2011 Gold Cup, was not listed to play in Costa Rica’s reviewed squad for the Copa America anyways. However, mourning fans will be hoping for a bit of consolation with three massive points against Colombia.
Colombia vs Costa Rica will be Saturday’s sole Copa America match. The referee on the day will be Osses Enrique from Chile. Osses Enrique has a reputation of sending off players quite often. Stats tell that he red carded 21 players in 16 league matches in 2005.
