Panathinaikos Athens vs AO Kavala Match Preview
While not yet reproducing their form of last season, Panathinaikos have begun 2011 in good fashion picking up two wins already in the New Year. They will need to continue that form if they are to cut into Olympiakos’ five point lead at the top of the table. This weekend against Kavala, Jesualdo Ferreira’s side will be without the services of Gilberto Silva and Jean-Alain Boumsoung.
Kavala have enjoyed a decent season up to this point and they are currently in 6th place, well positioned for a spot in the playoffs. The club did just have a slump going five matches without a win, however that was remedied with last weekend’s 1-0 win over Larisa.
