Argentina vs Brazil Match Preview
Diego Maradona and Dunga have made way for Sergio Batista and Mano Menezes respectively. Is Argentina ready to defy Brazil for South American leadership?

Javier Zanetti and Ronaldinho, the two great returns for South America's most violent clash of forces.
Things have worked out pretty well for Sergio Batista under a classic 4-3-3 formation in the few friendly matches he's played so far. Javier Pastore's excellent form has earned Palermo midfielder an opportunity in the starting squad, responsible for feeding Argentina's Trio of Doom (Angel Di Maria, Gonzalo Higuain and Lio Messi).
Sergio Batista's scheme resembles the one that lead Argentina to claim Olympic gold six years ago.
Brazil prepares for what could be an early Copa America final. Ronaldinho returns to the National Football Team after over 500 days and will be joining his fellow team mates Robinho and Thiago Silva against Albiceleste Gauchos.
"We won't centre our strategy in Ronaldinho, he'll have to play along. The crowds love the things he can do.. I do too, but I'll demand him to feed the strikers and build powerful offenses just like any other player." Said Dunga when asked about Dinho.
He never confirmed his presence on the starting eleven neither which role he'd occupy.
"We've only been together for a few days so far.. It'd be unfair for me to anticipate anything yet", he added.
Argentina misses many important players due to injuries: Carlos Tevez, Sergio Aguero, Walter Samuel, Fernando Gago and Gabriel and Diego Milito are all ruled out of the game.
Mano Menezes said goodbye to the long list of veteran players Dunga used to call up. Only Julio Cesar, Dani Alves and Ronaldinho are over 30 years old. Brazil head coach wants to find alternatives for his squad for the future.
Argentina has been running behind Brazil without much success in the last 17 years. Brazil lifted two World Cups, four Copa America and three Confederation's Cup, while Argentina has only excelled on the Olympic Games.
The last time the two teams faced each other was a sound victory 3-1 for Brazil. Argentina last victory takes us back to 2005, an statistic that clearly favors Carcioa squad.
Lio Messi will be leading the attack. He's going through an excellent moment with Barcelona, chasing Cristiano Ronaldo as Liga top striker. Fellow Blaugrana team mate Javier Mascherano will be joining the defense along with Valencia Ever Banega, recovered from his injuries a few weeks ago.
Argentina and Brasil made it only to the quarter-finals in South Africa and will be looking forward to improve their performance in America hottest match. Both squads travelled to Doho, Qatar a few days ago and not much has been confirmed about the line-ups.
Brazil coach introduced many modifications from the last previous games, Nilmar will be Robinho's partner in the last meters while Ramires, Lucas and Coutinho will have to assume the creative responsibility. Andre Santos and Dani Alves will be leading the advance from the wings, and their speed might provide Brazil the needed advantage in Qatar.
Thiago Silva and David Luiz will be the central backs, replacing Lucio and Juan from the previous scheme.
It'll be an interesting game with many possibilities. Who will claim the victory?

The first minutes of the game were dominated by Mano Menezes' squad. Thiago Silva and David Luiz played an excellent role nullifying Argentina attack while Dani Alves was always an alternative to break through Batista's packed midfield.
Ronaldinho showed to be in excellent form for Menezes' new project. Argentina found in the partnership Pastore-Messi an excelent weapon to overcome Carioca's aerial superiority, for them pretty much denied the possibility of deep crosses for the Albiceleste.
Javier Mascherano and Ever Banega had trouble keeping up with Canarinha's pace but their constant pressure was a burden too heavy for the Verdeamarelhos to deal with.
On the 18th minute the cross bar saved Sergio Romero from a power shot from close distance from Dani Alves. Ronaldinho warned with a few rather accurate free kicks. Lio Messi power shot against Julio Cesar on the 38th minute. The ball went only milimeters away at over 70 milles per hour.
Not much changed in the second half. Gonzalo Higuain (of poor performance in the first 45 minutes) was replaced by Napoli Ezequiel Lavezzi who made meaningful contributions to the attack. Andres D'Alessandro substituted Javier Pastore but Internacional creative midfielder was unable to contribute much to Batista's scheme.
Menezes sent Douglas, Andre Felipe and Jucilei to replace Ronaldinho, Neymar and Ramires respectively as Brazil top star were overexhausted for the game.
Nobody could stop Messi when he found its way into the box and shot a perfect cross that caught Brazil goalkeeper off guard. The victory fed Albiceleste's fans with hopes for the Copa America and exposed every weakness in Menezes' young squad.
