Eintracht Frankfurt vs Bayern München Match Preview
Christoph Daum is as positive as ever; he credits his players’ strengths all the time. However, the threat of relegation is looming. Frankfurt sits just four points above the play-off spot. A defeat will mean that they will remain in their current position after this weekend. Frankfurt will be hopeful of getting a win. They beat FC Bayern, 2-1, last season.
Everybody is smiling again in Munich. Last week’s win raised the clouds hanging over Bayern for this entire season. However, they must hold on to third spot. This means they must beat Frankfurt. Bayern will be bringing in both Gregory van der Wiel of Ajax and Fabio Coentrao of Benfica next season if rumours are to be believed.
Bayern will be without Danijel Pranjic this week. Arjen Robben will continue to serve out his ban this week and will thus remain on the sidelines. Toni Kroos wasn’t on the bench last week. No news has come out about his apparent disappearance.
