About Africa Cup of Nations Qualification
The 2015 AFCON qualifying campaign sees 51 nations battle it out. The qualifying rounds (Preliminary, First round & Second round) takes place from April to August, 2014. The group stage has six Matchdays, starting on 5 September 2014 and ending on 19 November 2014. There are seven groups with the top two teams from each group securing automatic qualification. The best-ranked side among the seven third-placed teams joins the other 14 countries.
The 15 qualified teams get tickets to compete against hosts Morocco at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations between January 17th and February 8th, 2015.
