About Czech Republic - Synot Liga
The Gambrinus Liga, also known as the 1. Liga, is Czech's top professional soccer league. It contains 16 clubs playing between August and May. Each team plays 30 games in all, and the competition itself has a system of promotion and relegation with the Czech 2. Liga. So far, the league’s most successful club has been Sparta Prague. The Gambrinus Liga, which was created in 1993, is currently sponsored by Plzeňský Prazdroj, a. s., and it is included in Level 1 leagues by the UEFA.
