Jose Mourinho may not have enjoyed the kind of success he did in the past with Roma, but he has already secured a new coaching spot just days after being sacked by the Giallorossi.
The Portuguese tactician left Roma after 30 months in charge, and according to recent reports, the former Chelsea, Manchester United, and Real Madrid manager will return to action shortly, as he has agreed terms to join Al Shabab in the Saudi Pro League.
The report issued by Saudi newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat states that Mou held a Zoom meeting with Al Shabab's sporting director to discuss the terms of his signing. Mourinho and Domenico Tite had reportedly come to terms on what he expects from the club, who recently fired Igor Biscan and are currently without a manager.
Mourinho is expected to fly to Saudi Arabia next week to put pen to paper on his new deal.
Earlier this season, Mourinho spoke about a massive offer from Saudi Arabian football, but he also added that he turned it down due to his commitment with Roma. Now, days after being fired by the Italian side, he seems ready to join another club.
The Special One had been linked to several other jobs prior to his exit from Roma, including a gig with the Portuguese National Team, the Brazilian National Team, and even a shocking return to La Liga. Now, the UCL winner with Porto and Inter seems ready to try and turn Al Shabab's fortunes around.
In the report by the Saudi newspaper, Al Shabab's idea about signing Mourinho will also include the addition of some stellar names to their roster. Right now, Al Shabab's main men are Ever Banega, Yannick Carrasco, and Colombian midfielder Gustavo Cuéllar.
