Premier League champions Manchester City will pay a visit to the King Power Stadium to take on Leicester City in a tricky early kick-off encounter.

Saturday's early Premier League kickoff will feature Manchester City and Leicester City at the King Power Stadium. With only two points separating them from league-leaders Arsenal, Pep Guardiola's team will look to keep winning to put pressure on the Gunners in the title battle. However, they will be required to topple the Foxes who have hit brilliant form in recent weeks.

After a rather poor start to the season, Brendan Rodgers' side have successfully picked themselves up, picking up important wins that has lifted them out of the relegation zone into 17th position. They currently sit two points clear of all three teams in the drop.

Last week, they added to their ascension by convincingly beating Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-0. It was a classic Leicester City performance, with Youri Tielemans, Harvey Barnes, James Maddison and Jamie Vardy all getting on the scoresheet. The King Power outfit have both lessened the pressure on themselves by earning 10 points out of a potential 15 points in their last five outings. They have also been able to manage three successive clean sheets and have conceded only two goals in the whole of October.

Needless to say, the above record is threatened ahead of Saturday's trip to Etihad. Leicester will come up again a Manchester City side that has been unbeaten in all but one of the 11 matches they have featured in in this campaign. Following their goalless draw with Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League in mid-week, the Citizens will be poised to return to winning ways. A win will see them momentarily occupying the first position with Arsenal set to play Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

The current league champions will approach the weekend's encounter on the back of a 3-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion at home. The win came after a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.

Head-to-head record and key stats

Team news: Leicester City vs Manchester City

While Jonny Evans will be evaluated before a decision is made regarding his comeback from a calf issue, Ndidi has handed Leicester a boost following his recovery from a hamstring injury.

For Manchester City, the fate of Erling Haaland will be decided ahead of the encounter. The Norweigian striker was forced to leave the field at halftime of the midweek match against Dortmund due to a foot injury and a fever and might not be risked. Ederson will take over in goal after sitting out the Champions League game.
