Kai Havertz is one of the most sought-after youngsters in football and in Saturday's clash between Borussia Monchengladbach and Bayer Leverkusen, the German sensation showed why he is in high demand by reaching an impressive milestone.
The 20-year-old started in his team's crucial trip to Borussia-Park, and for obvious reasons. Havertz, being his team's standout player, was called upon to deliver against Gladbach, a team Leverkusen trailed by only two points heading into this tie. It did not take long for the German to deliver.
After only seven minutes of play, Havertz put his side 1-0 up, collecting an exquisite pass from Karim Bellerabi to score past Yann Sommer. Not only did this strike give the visitors an early advantage, but it also saw the 20-year-old reach a lovely personal milestone.
This was the first time Leverkusen's no.29 contributed to at least one goal in six consecutive German top-flight games. In the four games preceding the coronavirus suspension, Havertz scored twice and assisted three goals. In the first game back, he grabbed a brace, taking his overall contribution in his last six apps to eight (five goals, six assists) at the time of writing this article.

Due to the lack of live action from Europe's other major leagues, all eyes are on the Bundesliga and, in particular, Die Werkself's promising attacker. Given his latest displays, it's no surprise that the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, Man United, and Bayern Munich are all interested in Havertz.
