Borussia Dortmund have confirmed signing Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year Ousmane Dembele on a five-year deal. The Frenchman has been instrumental at Stade Rennes FC and is expected to light up the Bundesliga when the new season begins. The German giants are plotting to bounce back from the painful exit of one of their key players Mats Hummels, who officially joined their rivals Bayern Munich on Monday.

Dembele, 18, expressed his delight after striking the deal with the Signal Iduna Park outfit. The official Bundesliga website quotes the deadly France U21 forward as saying:
''I cannot wait to play in the Bundesliga.
"BVB made a real effort to sign me from the start and always kept close contact - their conduct really impressed men," Dembele said. "I was completely sold on what they're doing at Borussia. I can hardly wait to play in the Bundesliga in front of 80,000 fans at the Signal Iduna Park and to play alongside my new teammates in the Champions League."
Confirming the signing, BVB sporting director Michael Zorc added:
''Ousmane can pretty much play in every position in attack. He's strong in the one-on-ones, can use both feet, is a real handful, quick and a danger in front of goal."
The Leicester City, Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City target has scored 12 goals for the French side on his debut season, and provided 5 assists in 28 appearances in all competitions.
